Hearing Aids
The Hearing Suite provides a wide range of hearing aids to suit your hearing needs, lifestyle and budget.
We only use the latest technologies from the world’s leading hearing aid manufacturers.
As an independent hearing healthcare practice, we have no ties to any one manufacturer. All fittings are verified and validated using best practice guidelines to optimise hearing aid performance and patient outcomes. We are also proud of our unbeatable aftercare services.
Choose the best option for your individual needs.
Devices can vary greatly in style, size, how they fit, design and technology. Depending on your type of hearing loss, lifestyle and individual needs, we will explain the different options available to you, before choosing an instrument that best suits you.
You may be eligible for FREE hearing aids with a PRSI grant. You can check with our audiologist during your appointment.
Types of hearing aids
Receiver in the canal hearing aids (RIC)
Receiver in canal (RIC) hearing aids are popular with first time wearers with mild to severe hearing loss. This type of hearing aid is traditionally smaller, lighter and more discreet than a behind-the-ear (BTE), but not powerful enough for wearers with profound hearing loss. RIC hearing aids have a fully rechargeable product range and universal connectivity.
In-the-ear hearing aids (ITEs)
In-the-ear hearing aids (ITEs) include all hearing aids that are worn entirely in the ear (rather than behind it). There are various sub-styles in this category, from the large and more powerful Full Shell to the smaller CIC (Completely-In-Canal) and the virtually invisible IIC (Invisible-In-Canal).
Behind-the-ear hearing aids (BTEs)
In BTE hearing aids, everything is contained inside a durable case that sits behind the outer ear. Sounds are transmitted to the user’s ear directly via a small tube attached to a dome or earmold. BTE hearing aids have traditionally been the largest in size, and are also the best hearing aids for those needing the most power. They are suitable for mild to profound hearing loss.
Remote Support
A significant benefit in hearing aid technology has been the introduction of remote support. It is now possible to program your hearing aid remotely from literally anywhere in the world.
Your hearing aids can be controlled by an app on your phone which allows you to adjust your hearing aids based on the changing environments you find yourself in.
Hearing Aid Accessories
With today’s technology, hearing aids have made speech understanding in most situations enjoyable. But sometimes, hearing aids are simply not enough. The use of wireless accessories can boost the performance of your hearing aids and keep you connected. Whether listening in a noisy environment, at a distance or watching TV, assistive technology offers hearing solutions for your everyday needs.
The Hearing Suite provides a wide range of hearing aid accessories including roger microphone solutions (Roger on and Roger Table mic), remote controls and TV connectors for direct streaming from your TV to your hearing aids.
